Henry has over 12 years of experience in real estate investing. He started his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy where he served as the Navigator and Boarding Officer on the USS UNDERWOOD(FFG-36). He was selected to serve as the Officer in Charge of Riverine Squadron Three, Detachment 1. After multiple combat tours to Iraq and across the globe in the Navy, Henry joined the investment firm Samuel James Limited in Baltimore, MD, where the firm managed several private investments in both the public and private sectors. Henry is also the Founder and Managing Partner of his construction company and property management company.
He is also very successful football coach. Henry's team at St Frances Academy was ranked top 5 in the nation, and became the subject of HBO's 2019 Docuseries "The Cost of Winning.”
Henry is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and is the proud father of his three young daughters Riley, Finley, & Channing, and married to his amazing bride Erin.
Dom Ewers leads the team through all stages of operations from construction management, property management, and financial management.
Dom was a collegiate wrestler and U.S. Naval Academy graduate, and recently retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years of active-duty service. He completed multiple combat deployments, including a tour in Iraq. He finished his two-decade career as a Commanding Officer for the largest aviation logistics unit in the Corps with over 800 personnel under his command.
Working closely with Henry, Dom has overseen construction projects totaling $20M and is responsible for the day in and day out operations of the $100M + portfolio of RFC acquired and personally managed over $3 million in multifamily and short-term rental properties.
Dom is well-versed in life-cycle logistics, constraint theory, and holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of San Diego in Global Leadership.
Piotr’s passion in real estate construction began while helping his father with the new construction of a single-family residence. From his youth he always had a passion for design, remodeling, renovation, and construction. He continues his passion as the 2nd generation of a family of civil engineers. Piotr earned the academic title of Master of Science in Engineering and gained his rich building and construction experience as a General Contractor and Developer in Europe, Illinois and California. Despite being a Licensed General Contractor, Piotr also was an Inspector for a national home inspection company. Now, he shares his expertise with RFC Capital, a place where he provides a unique skill set based on his home inspection, investment, landlord, property management, contracting and negotiating experience. Previously, Piotr’s professional career gave him tremendous experience in successful contract negotiations as he was responsible for high-value contracts while working for a Fortune 50 company. One of the milestones in his sales career was being recognized as the Best Salesman of the Year out of a field of over 500 sales representatives. In his free time, Piotr is dedicated to his favorite activities: volunteering in scouting as a Pack Trainer. Piotr’s other passions including RV'ing, flying drones, and worldwide traveling . He has lived on several different continents calling such remote places like Kenya, Japan, Indonesia, and Europe his home.
Lauren serves as the Director of Finance and Administration. She has experience across several business segments and leverages both management and sales versatility to deliver results that drive rapid organizational growth. She is exceptionally process oriented with a drive to optimize efficiency by creating processes and systems that improve productivity. In her previous roles, Lauren has extensive experience supporting high-profile executives in various industries, including the CFO to Tony Robbins. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Education. Originally from Washington state, Lauren currently resides in San Diego where she enjoys spending time with her kids, skiing, golfing, and playing tennis.
Derek Czarkowski is the Director of Investments for RFC Capital. He brings 17 years of commercial real estate experience and over $2B in transaction volume. He has worked with a full spectrum of investor clients from high net-worth to institutional in every region nationally from east to west. Derek began his career as a senior analyst for a national portfolio of multifamily communities totaling 30,000+ units and 300+ staff. He achieved a 20% ROI on the $50mm+ of value-add asset improvements completed during tenure. Prior to joining RFC Capital, he was the Senior Manager of Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Fundraising for Elan Multifamily Investments where he led the acquisitions of over $500M in institutional multifamily assets in the Western US and managed the fundraising pipeline of syndicated investors. During his first ten years in the industry, Derek held asset management and acquisitions roles for Equus Capital Partners and GoldOller Real Estate Investments, two national private equity real estate investment fund managers in Philadelphia, each with over $3B in AUM. Derek earned his BA degree in Economics from Virginia Tech. He enjoys spending time with his wife, dog and doing outdoor activities.
Kasey Converse has over 10 years of real estate operations experience including HR, property management, marketing, crowdfunding, project management, and investor relations. She works to streamline operations to ensure efficient workflow, while managing the team in all phases of the organization. Kasey also assists to oversee property management, investor relations, and strategic systems. Being an Ann Arbor native, Kasey attended the University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration.
Araseli provides comprehensive high-level support to Dom Ewers, COO at RFC Capital, LLC. She is responsible for maintaining basic knowledge of the day-to-day processes of departments under the COO, facilitating communication and supporting complex project management. She handles matters expeditiously and proactively follows through on projects to successful and on-time completion. In previous roles, Araseli has extensive experience in various industries, including real estate acquisitions, contracts, escrow, business transfers, commercial leasing, and residential and commercial lending. Araseli is also a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and has a bachelor’s degree in psychology. A California native, Araceli enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her four lovely dogs.
Ashley is Henry Russell's Executive Assistant. Before assisting Henry in his day-to-day operations, she spent 10 years as a residential real estate agent in the Baltimore-Metropolitan area. Before her time in real estate, Ashley worked for two local Baltimore news stations tracking breaking news and coordinating assignments for reporters and videographers in the field. Her working knowledge of real estate and her experience in the fast-paced news industry creates a great foundation for her role as Henry's Executive Assistant.
Ashley is based in Maryland with her husband Holt, her rescue pup Mally and her two Frenchies, Achilles and Lula. When she isn't busy supporting RFC Capital or giving her attention to 3 dogs, Ashley enjoys being outside, trying new restaurants (especially pizzerias) and spending as much time with friends and family as she can.
